Refunds & Returns

We want you to be happy with every book. This page explains your options in plain words. For everything, write to support@thesmartlibrary.co.uk with your name and order number.

If your book arrives damaged or faulty

• Email us a photo within 30 days of delivery.
• We send you a new copy free of charge, or refund you if you prefer.
• You do not need to send the damaged book back.

Our 60-day money-back guarantee

• If a book is not for you, email us within 60 days of delivery.
• We refund the price of that book.
• TO CONFIRM: whether the book needs to be sent back, and whether the guarantee covers the extra titles added after checkout.

Your legal right to cancel (14 days)

• Under UK law you can cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your books, without giving a reason.
• TO CONFIRM: return address. If you send the books back, the cost of returning them is yours unless they are faulty.
• We refund you within 14 days. If you need to return the books, the 14 days start from the day we receive them, or from the day you show us proof that you sent them, whichever comes first.

Free digital gifts

The app and the PDF guides that come with a book are free gifts, so there is nothing to refund on them. If you return or get a refund for the book, the gifts stay with you.

How your refund is paid

• We refund you using the same payment method you used to pay.
• Your bank may take a few days to show the money in your account.
